Erica x watsonii is a very garden-worthy group of plants which seem to have inherited hardiness from the Erica tetralix side and the long-blooming bottle-shaped bells from the Erica ciliaris parentage.  Most are low growing and have an added bonus of brightly colored tips of new growth.  Most of these plants have colorful growth tips in the springtime.
