This is native to southern Spain, Corsica, Sardinia and southern Italy. These are the hardiest of the tree heath group and the only that bloom in summer. They have terminal umbels of lilac-pink, urn-shaped flowers. The faded bells are an attractive russet all winter on the plant. They are lime tolerant. With pruning, they can form a hedge or nice specimen plant.
Hardy to Zone 5 (-20 degrees) with protection and warmer. |
