Pink tubular flowers from June-August, on medium green foliage. Flowers are about 1/2” to 3/4” long . Erect habit about 3' x 2' wide. It is a Cape Heath from South Africa and was grown in the 19th century in the UK. Probably only hardy to 28 degrees F. The flowers are profuse and very attractive. The lobes curl backwards and are star-shaped giving it a bit of a frilled effect. The flowers forms as clusters at the tips. Needs an acid soil mix. |
