Profuse ruby flowers, May-June, with dark green foliage. Blooms in one annual flush all at once which is not typical of most Daboecia. Habit is upright 6” tall by 16” wide. This is a Daboecia azorica named after our late friend Art Dome. Very rare plant and slow growing. Needs protection even in the Pacific Maritime Northwest when there are sudden severe frosts after mild weather. Freezes out at 5F. |
