Vivid deep reddish purple flowers, May-June, on dark green foliage. Bushy upright habit 18" x 22" wide. Very floriferous. It is native to Spain. The flowers have conspicuous dark brown exserted anthers. Rare plant. Just a few in stock to sell. Hardy to Zone 8. We can grow this in the Pacific Northwest outside. Needs well drained soil and can tolerate a neutral to alkaline soil. Extremely rare plant. |
